The theme for the Etsy Embroidery Guild's Bead Fest challenge was Filigree, a theme I was keen to create for as it naturally "spoke" to me.
When a theme easily "speaks" to me, I don't usually want to overanalyse it. So for the Filigree challenge, I simply wanted to capture the feminine curves of filigree design that I love, the delicate lace-like graphics...

To emphasize the feminine, romantic evocation of filigree, I was naturally inspired to pick soft pink colored seed beads. However, I added few lime green beads to add a touch of spring freshness to the design.
